Location: Center City Philadelphia (Hybrid – Onsite Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday)

Duration: 5-Month Contract-to-Hire

Interview Process: One 30-minute video interview (decision expected by end of week)

About the Company

Our client is a well-established, nationally recognized healthcare organization with a strong reputation for providing specialized patient care across multiple locations. They are seeking an experienced Accounting Consultant to join their growing accounting team and support key financial operations during an exciting period of growth.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee full-cycle accounting
• Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
• Lead month-end close activities
• Prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
• Manage fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Assist with financial statement preparation and audit support
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 10+ years of accounting experience
• Strong experience with:
• Full-cycle accounting
• General Ledger
• Journal Entries
• Month-End Close
• Accruals
• Account Reconciliations
• Financial Statement Preparation
• Experience reviewing journal entries and validating transactions against the general ledger
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred

• CPA or CMA (or coursework toward certification)
• NetSuite
• Sage Intacct
• Stampli
• Healthcare industry experience

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for a seasoned accounting professional who enjoys being hands-on and owning the accounting process from start to finish. The ideal candidate has experience in a Senior Accountant or Controller-level role and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to support day-to-day accounting operations.

This is not an FP&A, financial analysis, or audit-focused position—it's a true operational accounting role requiring strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail.
