The Manager of Fleet and Business Support is responsible for the strategic leadership, administration and continuous improvement of the City’s fleet management and operational business support functions. This position provides oversight of corporate fleet assets, fleet lifecycle planning, preventative maintenance programs, procurement, inventory control, business systems optimization, and regulatory compliance.
The Manager of Fleet and Business Support leads a diverse team supporting the operation, maintenance and replacement of a broad municipal fleet, while also advancing business processes,technical solutions, data analytics and operational service improvements.
The role is accountable for planning and administering operating and capital budgets, developing policies and procedures, supporting labour and employee relations matters, and ensuring service delivery aligns with legislative requirements, corporate standards, and the City’s strategic priorities.
This position serves as a key resource to City departments on fleet acquisition, utilization, maintenance and business support practices, and contributes to a safe, efficient, innovative and sustainable municipal operation.
