General Ledger Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)

🏢 Hybrid Schedule: 4 Days Onsite | 1 Day Remote

Are you a hands-on accounting professional with experience in investments? We are partnering with a highly respected investment management organization seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join its finance team on a contract-to-hire basis.

This role offers exposure to financial reporting, month-end close, analysis, budgeting support, and process improvement initiatives within a sophisticated investment environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Partner with auditors by preparing requested schedules and documentation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and expense reporting.
• Assist with consolidations, financial analysis, and management reporting.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of General Ledger Accounting experience
• Experience within a Hedge Fund, Private Equity, Investment Management, or Alternative Asset Management environment
• NetSuite experience
• Advanced Excel skills, including reconciliations, reporting, and analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
