About METRAC: Formed in 1984, METRAC is a Toronto-based not-for-profit agency that has been awarded for its dedication to advancing safety, justice, and equity for women and youth. Since 2016, METRAC’s priority groups have expanded to include Two-Spirit, Transgender, and Nonbinary people, also known to be impacted by higher rates of gender-based violence.
METRAC partners with individuals, communities, and institutions to change ideas, actions, and policies toward ending gender-based violence. Our activities are focused on public education, legal information services, youth prevention programs, community safety audits, community-based research, and social policy initiatives designed to improve systemic responses for ending gender-based violence in Ontario.

Position Title: Program Manager: Youth Violence Prevention Program
Supervisor: Executive Director or ReAct Youth Program Director
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, 7 hours per day (Full-time)
Salary Expectations: $49,000 per year
Areas of Work: Respect in Action (ReAct) Youth Program and Community
Workshops
The Program Manager reports to the Program Director/Executive Director and is supported, trained, and supervised by the ReAct Youth Program Director/Executive Director.
The PM’s role is to lead the reporting, coordination of planning, implementing, and evaluating METRAC’s violence prevention program for youth ages 10 to 29 years, known to be at higher risk of experiencing gender-based violence (GBV) within Ontario /Canada.
This position will support hiring and guide the orientation of hired Peer Educators, and will coordinate and co-facilitate support groups, educational sessions to equip youth with knowledge and resources about healthy, equal relationships with self, peers, and families, and how to reduce and prevent GBV; increase mental health wellness; reduce stigma and isolation.
This position will also facilitate and present anti-oppression, and GBV workshops in the community.
