Senior Accountant (Real Estate Investment Firm)

📍 Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 remote) | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

A growing real estate investment and property ownership platform is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding finance team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager/CFO, this role will support the accounting and financial reporting functions for a portfolio of real estate assets and related entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for assigned properties and entities
• Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expense amortization, and journal entries
• Assist with month-end close activities and ensure timely, accurate reporting
• Partner with Accounts Payable to ensure proper invoice coding, approvals, and period-end expense recognition
• Work closely with Property Management teams to resolve operational and accounting-related matters
• Support investor reporting, capital activity tracking, and ownership-level accounting
• Monitor cash balances and assist with cash management processes
• Help ensure compliance with lender requirements, reserve accounts, escrows, and reporting obligations
• Support audits, tax requests, and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years of accounting experience
• Public accounting experience with real estate clients strongly preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate (parts passed) preferred
• Real estate, property, fund, or portfolio accounting experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Yardi experience highly preferred
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills

Compensation 💰 100k to 120k 🎯 Bonus eligible
