Corporate Accountant

Riverside Resources is seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our team in Austin. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to broaden their experience in corporate accounting while working alongside an experienced team in the commercial real estate industry.

The Corporate Accountant will support corporate and portfolio-level accounting functions, assist with financial reporting, and contribute to process improvements that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of our accounting operations. This role offers exposure to a variety of accounting responsibilities and the opportunity to grow professionally within a collaborative organization.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining general ledger accuracy
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions
• Assist with internal financial reporting and preparation of financial statements
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Collaborate with the Property Accounting team on portfolio reporting and financial analysis
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with annual audits and compliance reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies
• Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2–4+ years of corporate accounting experience
• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial real estate accounting
• Familiarity with concepts such as CAM reconciliations, lease structures, and property financial reporting
• Experience using Yardi or similar accounting software
