- Position: Part Time CPA

- We are seeking an experienced, licensed CPA to join our growing accounting and tax services firm in a part time, hybrid role.
- This position is ideal for a senior CPA who enjoys client interaction, advisory conversations, and final review work, without the burden of full cycle tax preparation.
You will serve as a senior point of contact for clients, help close and onboard new engagements, answer higher level tax and bookkeeping questions, and review work prepared by junior staff. While you will not be responsible for routine tax preparation, you will be expected to review returns and ensure technical accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a senior CPA presence for client facing meetings, calls, and consultations
- Help close New Clients by participating in discovery calls, scoping conversations, and explaining services
- Answer client questions related to tax filings, bookkeeping, compliance, and general accounting matters
- Review tax returns and related filings prepared by junior staff prior to submission
- Provide guidance and feedback to junior team members to improve quality and consistency
- Ensure work meets professional standards and regulatory requirements
- Assist with complex or edge case client situations when needed
- What This Role Is Not
- No routine tax preparation or bookkeeping data entry
- No expectation to work full time or maintain a fixed daily schedule
Qualifications
- Active CPA license in good standing (will consider retirees as well)7 plus years of experience in public accounting, tax, or advisory roles
- Strong knowledge of individual and small business tax filings
- Experience reviewing tax returns and supervising junior staff
- Excellent communication skills and comfort speaking directly with clients
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-accountants
- NC Filing experience preferred
