Senior IT Project Manager

Location: Dallas, TX

Onsite Requirements: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

Contract Duration: 6-month contract

Compensation Range

$65–70/hour

Introduction

We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with extensive experience leading complex, highly integrated technology initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong background managing enterprise-scale projects, particularly migrations and integration efforts, and is comfortable working across multiple project management methodologies.

This individual will excel at stakeholder management, executive communication, and cross-functional collaboration while ensuring strategic initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead complex IT projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables are clearly defined and successfully executed.
• Manage project risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, and decisions (RAID), proactively identifying and resolving obstacles across technical and business teams.
• Partner with business leaders to manage project budgets, resources, schedules, and project documentation while providing regular status updates to executive leadership.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, drive consensus, manage action items, and ensure successful collaboration across multiple workstreams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered.

• 10+ years of IT Project Management experience, preferably leading migration, integration, or enterprise technology projects.
• Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and complex dependencies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership.
• Strong understanding of systems analysis methodologies and the ability to translate technical requirements into actionable business objectives and project plans.
• Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, resource planning, and financial tracking.
• Proven ability to identify, manage, and resolve project risks while driving projects to successful completion.
• Knowledge of healthcare data privacy, compliance, and security standards.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently in fast-paced environments.
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, influence decision-making, and lead organizational change.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Nice-to-have skills that would make a candidate more competitive but are not required.

• PMP Certification.
• Consulting experience with demonstrated success influencing stakeholders and guiding organizational change.
• Previous hands-on software development experience before transitioning into project management.
• Adaptable, proactive, and intellectually curious with a collaborative, hands-on leadership style.
