Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Tax & Bookkeeping Professional based in Los Angeles, CA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves maintaining accurate books, posting journal entries, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and reconciling accounts on a regular basis.

The Tax & Bookkeeping Professional will assist with tax preparation and filings, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and communicate with clients about their financial status and documentation needs. Daily responsibilities include using accounting software to record transactions, generate reports, support month-end and year-end closing activities, and respond promptly to client inquiries.

The role also includes collaborating with team members to improve workflows and maintain organized records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in bookkeeping and posting journal entries to maintain accurate and timely records.
• Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements to support client reporting and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and related finance tools used in small business environments.
• Solid understanding of finance and accounting principles relevant to tax and bookkeeping services.
• Experience with individual and small business tax preparation and familiarity with relevant tax regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for client interactions and internal collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• CPA, EA, or other relevant certification is required.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, demonstrating reliability, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
