Senior Project Manager

The University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of an exciting portfolio of primary care cancer improvement projects, helping to improve cancer outcomes for the population of North Central London.

The role sits within the North Central London Cancer Alliance (NCLCA). It is a collaboration of NHS organisations and other partners, hosted by UCLH. We work to promote earlier diagnosis, optimise pathways, reduce variation, provide personalised support for patients and build service resilience. Patients and carers are at the heart of everything we do.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Alliance at a time of significant transformation across cancer services. Working closely with the Programme Lead, clinical leaders and partners across the NHS, Integrated Care Board and primary care, you will lead complex projects that improve cancer diagnosis, screening, education and service delivery.

We are looking for an experienced project manager with excellent organisational, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. You will be able to manage multiple priorities, build effective relationships across organisations and use data and evidence to support service improvement and innovation.

Working as part of the Primary Care Programme within the North Central London Cancer Alliance, you will lead and deliver complex projects that support the implementation of the NCL Primary Care Cancer Strategy and wider Cancer Alliance priorities.

The Main Duties Include Leading the planning, delivery and evaluation of NCL-wide primary care cancer improvement projects. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clinicians, primary care networks, Integrated Care Board colleagues and other partner organisations. Managing project plans, risks, milestones, budgets and reporting arrangements to ensure successful delivery.

Supporting improvements in cancer screening, early diagnosis, learning and development, and the use of data and analytics within primary care. Facilitating multidisciplinary collaboration and service improvement across organisational boundaries. Producing high-quality reports, presentations and project documentation for a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Supporting clinical teams to implement evidence-based improvements that reduce variation and improve patient outcomes.
