Job Overview
Insight Global is seeking a Sr. Manager of Delivery / Transportation Manager for a top distribution client in the food & beverage industry. This candidate will lead all delivery and fleet operations across Texas, overseeing a large team, multiple cross-dock locations, and a high-volume route network.
This role is responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective transportation operations while driving continuous improvement across routing, fleet performance, and customer service.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep expertise in DOT compliance, DSD environments, and large-scale logistics, who thrives in fast-paced, multi-site operations and is passionate about building high-performing teams.
Day-to-Day
- Oversee statewide delivery operations across Texas, including 7 cross-dock locations
- Manage 150+ employees and 115 daily delivery routes
- Lead and mentor transportation managers and driver teams
- Hours of Service (HOS)
- Pre/post-trip inspections
- DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports)
- Identifying and resolving vehicle safety defects
- Manage company-owned fleet including maintenance and repair coordination with external vendors
- Own budgeting, cost management, and vendor negotiations for fleet operations
- Track and improve KPIs (safety, cost, service levels, efficiency)
- Drive customer service excellence through effective delivery operations
- Identify routing improvements and optimization opportunities
- Partner with Operations leadership and corporate teams to drive improvements
- Lead productivity initiatives to enhance operational and financial performance
- Foster a strong team culture and engagement across transportation teams
Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
