We re looking for a Technical / Functional Business Analyst who can operate comfortably in both worlds: therealities of Operations & Finance, and the practical constraints of building software. This role is for someonewho can listen deeply, ask sharp questions, map real workflows, and translate that understanding into clear,testable requirements that engineering teams can deliver with confidence.

This role begins as a consulting engagement with a right-to-hire path. You ll work closely with businessstakeholders, product owners, and engineers to reduce ambiguity, improve shared understanding, andaccelerate delivery without sacrificing quality or control.

What You ll DoLead discovery with stakeholders to understand current-state workflows, pain points, controls, anddesired outcomes.

Distill ambiguity into clarity: write crisp problem statements, scope boundaries, assumptions, risks,and success measures.

Translate business needs into delivery-ready artifacts: process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria,and non-functional requirements.

Partner with engineers and product owners to refine requirements, resolve tradeoffs, and keepexecution unblocked.

Support testing and validation: define test scenarios, help with UAT coordination, and ensuredelivered features match intent.

Maintain traceability: align requirements to outcomes and support auditability where needed(controls, approvals, data lineage).

Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate analysis and documentation (summarization, drafting,comparison, gap analysis), while validating accuracy and protecting sensitive information.

Communicate clearly and consistently: provide status, decisions, and open questions in a way thatbuilds trust.

What We re Looking For5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Technical BA, or similar role insoftware delivery.

Strong discovery and requirements skills: you can move from conversations to structured, testablerequirements quickly.

Comfort in technical discussions: APIs, data flows, basic system behavior, and how to ask the rightquestions of engineers.

Excellent written communication your artifacts are clear, concise, and usable by engineering andbusiness partners.

Strong stakeholder management: you build rapport, handle conflict professionally, and createalignment without force.

Ability to think in workflows and data: process mapping, edge cases, exceptions, and operationalcontrols.

High integrity and maturity: you are transparent, consistent, and trusted especially under pressure.

Nice to HaveExperience in operations, finance, accounting, or control-oriented domains (reconciliations,reporting, hand-offs, approvals).

Familiarity with agile delivery (stories, backlogs, iteration planning), while being comfortable in lessmature environments.

Experience working with data stores and queries (SQL basics), or partnering on reporting andanalytics needs.

Exposure to event-driven or workflow-based systems (messaging, orchestration), and understanding
