Who Is The Business We are partnering with a fast-growing, venture-backed AI company building software for the financial services industry. The business has achieved strong early product-market fit with a blue-chip client base and is scaling quickly, backed by leading investors.

Having built category-defining technology, the company combines start-up agility with growing commercial traction, and is now investing in the financial infrastructure needed to support its next phase of growth. Finance is central to that journey, and this hire will be a foundational addition to the team as the business builds a best-in-class accounting function from the ground up.

What You'll Do

• You will own the company's day-to-day accounting operations, taking full accountability for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting.
• The general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expense management all sit with you, as do the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and the balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports that come out of them.
• You will ensure the business remains compliant with GAAP and other relevant standards throughout.
• Beyond the numbers, you will play a hands-on role in building the financial infrastructure the business needs to scale: establishing and refining accounting processes, internal controls, and financial policies, and implementing the systems and workflows that improve efficiency and reporting quality.
• You will support budgeting and forecasting with accurate financial data, track key metrics, and analyse variances to help leadership understand performance.
• You will also work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to keep financial processes aligned with the needs of the business, and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other partners on audits, filings, and compliance.
• Experience

Required

• Qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent)
• 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency with accounting and ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct or similar platforms)
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
• Experience in a high-growth, venture-backed start-up strongly preferred
• Background in B2B SaaS or AI-related industries a plus
• Experience supporting audits, investor reporting, or fundraising due diligence a plusSalary$140k - $160k + Bonus + Equity
