Sr. Accounting Manager

A growing organization in the property management and hospitality industry is seeking a strategic and hands-on Senior Accounting Manager to lead key accounting operations and support financial excellence across a dynamic portfolio.

Position Overview

The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting functions, support financial reporting, and help ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations. This role is ideal for a detail oriented who brings both technical accounting strength and the leadership presence needed to support teams, improve processes, and partner across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close Manage the preparation and review of financial statements and internal reporting packages Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies Supervise and mentor accounting staff, helping to strengthen team performance and accountability Coordinate audit preparation and serve as a point of contact for external auditors, tax professionals, and business partners Review balance sheet activity, investigate variances, and help resolve complex accounting issues Partner with operational leaders across property management and hospitality functions to improve reporting and decision-making Identify opportunities for process improvement, workflow efficiency, and system enhancements Assist with special projects related to portfolio growth, reporting needs, and operational support

Desired Qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for leading or supervising others.
• Demonstrated expertise in month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
• Strong understanding of financial statement preparation, reporting processes, and audit support.
• Prior experience in property management, hospitality, real estate, or a closely related industry is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting compliance requirements, internal controls, and sound financial governance practices.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced business environment.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and present financial information clearly.
