Lead Accountant

Are you the type of person who notices the small things others miss, takes ownership without being asked?A growing East Bay business is looking for an Office & Accounting Lead to become the operational backbone of the organization. This is a highly visible role where you'll have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the business while leading office operations and core accounting functions.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, reconciliations, collections, billing, and payroll support
• Review and approve transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Supervise, train, and mentor office and accounting support staff
• Drive accountability, process improvements, and operational efficiency
• Maintain office procedures and ensure workflows are running smoothly
• Partner with leadership to identify issues, solve problems, and improve processes
• Support reporting, job costing, and communication with field operations

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, office management, or business operations experience
• Prior lead, senior, supervisory, or team leadership experience
• Strong AP, AR, reconciliation, and month-end close knowledgeQuickBooks experience (or similar accounting software)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and takes ownership
