Location - 100% remote but need to be in Eastern or Central time zone

• Accounting & Finance.
• Our client is seeking a highly analytical and process-oriented Manager
• Accounting & Finance to join their growing finance organization.
• This role is designed for a finance professional with a strong accounting foundation who enjoys financial analysis, improving processes, leveraging technology, and supporting strategic decision-making.

This position will work closely with both the CFO and Corporate Controller and will serve as a key resource supporting corporate accounting, financial analysis, KPI reporting, business intelligence, and finance process improvement initiatives. This role will help modernize finance processes while maintaining a strong foundation of financial accuracy and internal controls.

Responsibilities

Corporate Accounting

• Prepare and record corporate journal entries.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset and lease accounting.
• Assist with monthly and year-end close activities.
• Prepare audit schedules and assist with annual external audits.
• Support technical accounting research and implementation as needed.

Financial Analysis

• Prepare monthly financial variance analyses.
• Assist with KPI reporting and dashboard development.
• Analyze project profitability, gross margin trends, and operating performance.
• Prepare financial analyses to support operational decision-making.
• Support ad hoc financial modeling and business analysis for executive leadership.

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify opportunities to streamline finance processes.
• Support automation initiatives using AI, Power BI, Power Query, Excel, and other technology tools.
• Improve reporting efficiency and data accuracy.
• Participate in ERP optimization and reporting enhancements.

Special Projects

• Support acquisition due diligence and integration activities.
• Assist with corporate initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Perform additional financial analysis and reporting as assigned by the CFO.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of accounting and/or corporate finance experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred

• CPA or CPA candidate.
• Construction industry experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (Vista preferred).
• Experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, or other business intelligence tools.
• Experience with AI-enabled productivity tools and finance automation.
• Experience supporting audits and financial reporting.
