Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and supporting our financial reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and account analysis using various accounting software such as QuickBooks Pro, Excel, Google Sheets
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Process payroll and handle payroll-related documentation in compliance with applicable laws and standards
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records, ensuring timely payments and collections
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements, adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Assist with governmental accounting requirements, tax filings, and audit preparations as needed
• Utilize spreadsheets for data organization, budgeting support, and detailed account analysis

Experience

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within a small business setting
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks Pro
• Experience with Excel & Google Sheets
• Strong understanding of accounting principles including double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger management
• Experience with payroll processing, bank reconciliations, account reconciliation, and financial report writing
• Knowledge of governmental accounting standards (GAAP) and tax regulations is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail with proficiency in 10-key typing and spreadsheet management
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently
