Role Description

The Senior Project Manager is a contract position based in Auckland in a hybrid working model, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. This role oversees complex technology and transformation projects, ensuring scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.

Day-to-day responsibilities include leading project planning, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholders, and tracking progress through status reports and risk logs. The Senior Project Manager will facilitate communication between clients, technical teams, and vendors, resolve issues and dependencies, and drive project governance and continuous improvement.

The role also involves aligning project deliverables with business outcomes, supporting change management, and ensuring documentation, compliance, and reporting requirements are consistently fulfilled.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including planning, execution, stakeholder management, and risk/issue tracking.
• Candidates should possess experience as an Expeditor and in Expediting activities to ensure timely delivery of project materials and services.
• Candidates should possess Inspection-related skills to oversee quality checks, compliance reviews, and verification of deliverables.
• Candidates should possess Management skills to coordinate resources, manage Financials and support project operations.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, business, or a related field are beneficial.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) and experience in cloud, data, or digital transformation projects would be advantageous.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities, with a track record of managing complex, multi-vendor environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a hybrid setting, collaborate with global teams, and adapt to evolving priorities and client needs.
