Job Summary

The Superior Court – Court Technology Services is seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst IV to serve as a liaison between management, business users, and technical professionals.

This role will perform complex business and judicial process analysis, gather and document requirements, identify process improvements, and support the development and implementation of technology solutions.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, Agile methodologies, process documentation, user stories, project coordination, and stakeholder communication.

Experience with court case management systems or similar business systems is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Mentor and lead business analysts by providing guidance and oversight on assigned projects.

Gather, analyze, and document business and user requirements.

Create epics, user stories, functional requirements, and technical specifications.

Serve as a liaison between management, business users, technical teams, and other departments.

Analyze judicial and business processes to identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements.

Conduct needs assessments and provide recommendations for process and system changes.

Evaluate the impact of proposed changes and develop requirements for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.

Manage change requests, backlog items, project tasks, and deadlines.

Collaborate with development and systems teams to develop, test, and implement solutions.

Troubleshoot issues and recommend appropriate solutions.

Create and maintain business process documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, wireframes, and written specifications.

Develop, administer, and publish lists of projects, problems, and assigned tasks.

Prepare reports and organize information for management and other stakeholders.

Provide end-user training and translate technical concepts into language easily understood by business users.

Provide technical assistance to system users as needed.

Lead small and medium-sized projects through completion within established timelines and budgets.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a role involving data analysis and report creation from data sets.

Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Public Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Social Sciences, or a related field.

Strong knowledge of business requirements gathering and analysis.

Experience evaluating information collected through task analysis, business process reviews, surveys, and workshops.

Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

Experience creating business process documentation and identifying process improvement opportunities.

Ability to create technical software requirements and design documentation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with business staff, technical teams, management, and end users.

Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills.

Ability to recommend creative solutions to complex business problems.

Ability to lead small and medium-scale projects independently.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SQL.

Experience with court case management systems or similar enterprise systems.

Knowledge of test-driven development.

Project management experience.

Strong knowledge of Agile best practices.

Experience with user stories, epics, product backlogs, and change management.

Experience creating process maps, flowcharts, wireframes, and project diagrams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: $62.00 - $63.00 per hour
