Major bank in New York City seeks junior accountant with 0-2 years of experience for hybrid contract role
Assist Branch Financial Accounting team for financial reporting and closing of general ledger
This role is responsible for data gathering, reconciliation, basic analysis and preparation of financial reporting
Some basic accounting knowledge required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel
Work on month-end close processes
Work with cross- functional groups in completing reconciliations
Produce and deliver monthly balance sheet analysis
Preparation of monthly financial statements
Experience with performing monthly intercompany analysis
Support audit deliverables / inquiries (Internal Audit/SOX/External)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field and the ability to pick up knowledge of new computer systems quickly
