What You'll Do

You'll manage your own book of clients from start to finish while providing exceptional service and technical expertise.

Tax Preparation

• Prepare individual and business tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S & 1120)
• Prepare multi-state tax returns
• Calculate estimated tax payments and extensions
• Review financial statements and bookkeeping for tax accuracy
• Make adjusting journal entries when needed

Client Relationships

• Communicate directly with clients to gather information
• Explain tax returns in a clear, professional manner
• Identify tax-saving opportunities throughout the year
• Keep projects moving and meet filing deadlines

IRS & Tax Resolution

• Review IRS and state notices
• Draft responses and assist with tax resolution
• Research tax issues and recommend practical solutions

Team Collaboration

• Maintain workflow in Canopy
• Support junior team members during tax season
• Help improve internal processes and best practices

What We're Looking ForRequired

✔ 3+ years of professional tax preparation experience

✔ Experience preparing both individual and business returns

✔ Strong knowledge of federal tax law

✔ Ability to review bookkeeping and financial statements

✔ Excellent communication and organizational skills

✔ Comfortable managing multiple clients and deadlines independently

Preferred

• Enrolled Agent (EA) or CPA
• ProSeries experience
• QuickBooks Online experience
• Multi-state return experience
• IRS representation experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
