This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounts professional who enjoys variety, ownership, and being the trusted “go-to” person for all things finance.

The role

Reporting into the school leadership team, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, with a mix of operational accounting and support across reporting and budgeting. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, spread across two locations, Parnell and Mt Eden.

Key responsibilities include

• End-to-end Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
• Month-end support, including journals and reconciliations
• Managing contract-based billing (creating, maintaining, and updating contracts/amendments)
• Debtor management and collections, handled with professionalism and strong relationship skills
• Supporting the Principal with budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth finance processes across the school
• To be successful, you’ll bring:
• Proven experience as an Accounts Officer / Senior Accounts Officer / Assistant Accountant (ideally in a sole-charge or highly autonomous capacity)
• Strong working knowledge of AP, AR, journals, and month-end processes
• Confidence communicating about financial matters with a range of stakeholders
• Ability to work independently, prioritise well, and follow through
