HR Manager

Our client, a well-established and successful organisation within the food production sector, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a hands-on leadership role supporting a large operational workforce in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day HR function, oversee the HR team, and partner closely with managers across the business to provide practical HR support, with a strong focus on employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day HR function and support the HR team.
• Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, investigation, performance and absence management.
• Partner with managers to provide practical HR guidance and support.
• Oversee end-to-end recruitment across operational and support functions.
• Ensure HR policies, procedures and documentation remain compliant with employment legislation.
• Maintain accurate HR records and reporting in line with GDPR requirements.
• Coordinate training, compliance and employee development activities.
• Contribute to employee engagement, retention and a positive workplace culture.

About You

Relevant third-level qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a HR Management position.

Strong employee relations experience is essential.

Previous experience within manufacturing, food production, FMCG or another fast-paced operational environment is highly desirable.

Excellent knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.

Experience managing HR systems and maintaining accurate HR records.

Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills.A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Additional Information

This is a fully onsite position based in Thurles, Co. Tipperary.

Candidates should live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Due to the location, own transport is required.

Preferred start date is August 2026.
