A successful Accounting and Tax Specialist at Dunn Lumber is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting functions that keep the business running smoothly. This position plays an important role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and operational accounting.
The Accounting and Tax Specialist partners with departments throughout the company to ensure financial information is accurate, questions are resolved promptly, and accounting processes are completed efficiently. A successful Accounting & Tax specialist is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement while supporting Dunn Lumber’s long-term financial health.

Previous Experience
Three or more years of accounting experience is preferred. Experience working with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, month-end close processes, and ERP/accounting systems is strongly preferred.
Education, Certificates, or Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
Technical/Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using ERP or accounting software. This position requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting recurring deadlines.
Supervisor Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and operate standard office equipment. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
This position primarily operates in a professional office environment. The noise level is typically quiet to moderate. Regular interaction with employees across multiple departments is expected.
Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
