Fund Accountant

Associate, Fund Accounting

A leading private equity investment firm, headquartered south of Boston, with a strong track record of investing in growth-oriented companies across technology, media, communications, and education is seeking to hire a Fund Accountant.

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a collaborative fund accounting team and gain exposure to all aspects of private equity fund operations in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bank reconciliations and journal entries with supporting documentation
• Assist with weekly cash activity reporting
• Prepare and track fund capital calls and investor distributions
• Support the preparation of quarterly financial statements
• Coordinate with external auditors during audit engagements
• Respond to limited partner (LP) inquiries and reporting requests
• Prepare wire transfers and monitor cash movements
• Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and special projects
• Support the finance team with additional accounting and operational initiatives as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1+ years of accounting experience, preferably in Big 4 public accounting or financial services
• CPA or active pursuit of CPA designation strongly preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with Workday and/or Investran is a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Compensation

Base Salary: $85-95K, plus bonus and full coverage of health benefits.
