Junior Staff Accountant | Vernon, CA

Pay

• $25-$27 per hour
• Weekly pay
• Temp-to-hire opportunity
• Full benefits after 90 days

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Occasional Saturdays as needed
• Fully onsite position

Duties

• Review, code, and process vendor invoices
• Process accounts payable transactions
• Prepare check requests and employee reimbursements
• Organize payment records and supporting documentation
• Reconcile accounts payable aging reports
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Assist with month-end close activities
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Analyze inventory reports and inventory data
• Maintain accounting schedules and spreadsheets
• Prepare weekly accounting and operational reports
• Review customer invoicing records
• Support transaction reconciliations
• Complete additional accounting projects as assigned
• Work closely with the Controller and leadership team

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 2-3 years of accounting experience
• Hands-on accounts payable experience
• Experience reviewing invoices and coding expenses
• Experience processing payments and maintaining records
• Experience performing account reconciliations
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Experience with PivotTables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet recurring deadlines
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Experience using ERP or accounting software
• Familiarity with purchase orders, receiving documents, and three-way matching
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, inventory-based, or multi-division accounting environments is preferred
• Experience with inventory reporting or inventory reconciliations is preferred
