About the Role

An established global test and measurement technology company is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive the growth of its High Power DC Test Solutions business across ASEAN.

This is a strategic commercial role focused on expanding market presence within the fast-growing electrification ecosystem, including battery technologies, EV, renewable energy, power electronics, AI data center power, and industrial energy applications.

The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships, and deliver sustainable revenue growth by promoting advanced DC power and testing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Strategic Growth

• Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across the ASEAN energy and power electronics ecosystem.
• Build and execute strategic account plans for key customers, managing the complete sales cycle from opportunity identification through deal closure.
• Develop strong relationships with engineering, procurement and executive stakeholders within target accounts.
• Proactively identify adjacent applications and emerging customer needs, translating them into tailored solution opportunities.
• Drive market expansion initiatives in key growth areas such as: Battery & Battery Management Systems (BMS), Electric Vehicles (EV) & Charging Infrastructure, Renewable Energy, DC Grid & Microgrid Applications, AI/Data Center Power, Aerospace & Defense Electrification and Industrial Power Electronics

Market Development & Customer Engagement

• Act as the subject matter expert for high-power DC testing applications, supporting customers in selecting appropriate testing solutions.
• Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies within electrification and power conversion.
• Gather customer and market intelligence to support business strategy and future product direction.
• Collaborate closely with regional sales teams, distributors, channel partners and application engineers to develop opportunities.
• Build long-term relationships with key customers, technology partners and industry stakeholders.

Sales Execution & Technical Support

• Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and opportunity tracking.
• Support pre-sales activities by aligning technical solutions with customer application requirements.
• Participate in proof-of-concept (POC), product demonstrations and technical solution presentations when required.
• Work with internal technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to the development of sales enablement materials, market campaigns and technical collateral.

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Development, Strategic Sales, Key Account Management or Solution Selling.
• Proven track record of developing new business and managing strategic customer relationships.
• Experience within one or more of the following industries is highly preferred:
• Power Electronics
• Battery Technology
• Electric Vehicles
• Renewable Energy
• Semiconductor
• Industrial Automation
• Test & Measurement
• Electrical Equipment

Technical Knowledge

Strong understanding of one or more of the following areas:

• High-power DC power supplies
• Battery testing
• Power conversion
• DC/DC converters
• Inverters
• Energy storage systems (ESS)
• Grid simulation
• Power electronics testing

Knowledge of industry standards and emerging technologies within the electrification ecosystem will be an advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related discipline is a must.

Travel

• Willingness to travel across ASEAN (approximately 25–50%).
