About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Financial / Cost Controller to lead and manage the organisation’s financial and accounting activities. You will ensure the integrity of financial reporting, robust internal controls, and sound cost management — acting as a business partner to management by providing financial insight, supporting decisions, and driving operational and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS/GAAP.
• Ensure timely, accurate reporting to management, shareholders, and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain compliance with statutory, tax (including UAE VAT), and corporate governance requirements.
• Coordinate and manage external and internal audits and regulatory reviews.
• Oversee GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, payroll, and treasury functions.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records and transactions.
• Manage month-end and year-end close within established timelines.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and financial controls.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting across the organisation.
• Monitor performance against budget, analyse variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform cost analysis and expense monitoring to protect and improve margins.
• Support strategic planning through financial modelling, scenario analysis, and business cases.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve internal control frameworks.
• Identify financial and operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Safeguard company assets through effective control mechanisms.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
• Optimise cash management and banking relationships.
• Oversee treasury operations including funding, payment controls, and financial risk.
• Collaborate with department heads to support business objectives and financial performance.
• Act as a trusted advisor to management on financial matters and strategic initiatives.
• Mentor and support the finance and accounting team, fostering accuracy and accountability.
