Senior Accountant

Job Purpose

This role will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accountingactivities, monthly and quarterly reporting, payroll-related accounting, vendor payments, budgeting support, VAT compliance and other finance-related activitiesAs the business expands, the role is expected to support broader finance responsibilities,including invoicing, receivables, commercial accounting and possible ERP transition.

• Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.
• Minimum 7–10 years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2–3 years in asenior or supervisory accounting role.
• Strong experience in financial accounting, month-end and year-end closing, payments,reconciliations, payroll accounting, budgeting, and VAT.
• UAE accounting experience is required.
• Experience with Sage or similar accounting / ERP systems is required.
• Exposure to SAP or ERP migration projects will be an advantage.
• Experience in a multinational or regional office environment will be preferred.
• Experience in a trading, automotive, motorcycle, or commercial business environment willbe an added advantage.
• Experience in asset control, stock taking and support for internal admin / business projectswill be an advantage.

• Strong accounting knowledge and sound understanding of financial controls
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, ESR, UBO and other FTA compliancerequirements
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and accounting systems
• Strong sense of responsibility, confidentiality and ownership
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
