Job Summary

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations, and supporting the organization's financial operations. The role requires accuracy, analytical skills, and the ability to maintain confidential financial information.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documents.
• Record daily financial transactions and reconcile bank statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Prepare tax returns and ensure timely payment of taxes.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Monitor cash flow and maintain the general ledger.
• Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and legal regulations.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Prepare financial reports and present findings to management.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
• Recommend improvements to accounting processes and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
