Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Reporting
- Lead the finance controllership function and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Oversee management accounts preparation and provide insightful analysis to senior management.
- Maintain strong financial controls, governance frameworks, and accounting policies.
Budgeting, Forecasting & FP&A
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting exercises.
- Conduct financial planning, variance analysis, and performance reporting against budget and strategic objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and profitability improvement.
- Develop financial models to support investment decisions and business cases.
Treasury & Working Capital Management
- Manage cash flow planning, liquidity forecasting, and treasury activities.
- Monitor working capital performance, including receivables, payables, and cash management.
- Maintain relationships with banking partners and support financing requirements.
Accounting Operations
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany Accounting activities.
- Ensure accounting transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support continuous improvement in accounting processes and controls.
Compliance, Audit & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external audit activities and facilitate the resolution of audit findings.
- Monitor regulatory compliance and manage financial risk within the organization.
- Strengthen internal control frameworks and governance processes.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
- Partner with business leaders to drive financial performance and support strategic initiatives.
- Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for leadership teams and Board stakeholders.
- Provide commercial and financial guidance to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Drive process optimization, automation initiatives, and finance transformation projects.
- Utilize ERP systems and reporting tools to enhance financial visibility and operational effectiveness.
- Support the development and implementation of best-in-class finance processes.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CIMA.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
- Proven experience in a Finance Controller, Financial Controller, Controllership, or Management Accountant role.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and FP&A.
- Strong understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Previous UAE market experience.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- MBA in Finance or related discipline.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems.
- Exposure to Power BI and advanced reporting tools.
- Strong financial modelling and business case development experience.
- Big 4 audit or advisory background.
- Experience in process improvement, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of cost accounting and risk management practices.
- Experience supporting company setup, restructuring, or rapid growth environments.
