Finance Associate - Private Equity

Overview

This Associate role sits within the financing strategy function of a global infrastructure investor, supporting the origination, structuring, execution, and financial modelling of structured and project finance transactions across infrastructure, energy, industrials, real estate, and related sectors. The position is based in Abu Dhabi on a full-time basis, with remote working available for up to five days per month.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the origination, structuring, and execution of structured finance and project finance transactions across infrastructure, energy, utilities, transport, industrials, and real estate sectors.
• Build and maintain financial models to support transaction analysis and financing strategy.
• Engage with banks and other financing counterparties throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Contribute to transaction marketing processes and support bank engagement workstreams.
• Review and work with financing documents and associated transaction materials.
• Apply knowledge of debt markets, lender expectations, and credit processes to support deal execution.
• Communicate findings and present analysis clearly to internal stakeholders and external counterparties.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum five years of experience in structured finance or project finance.
• Demonstrated experience supporting financings across infrastructure, energy, utilities, transport, industrials, or real estate.
• Strong project finance knowledge and financial modelling capabilities.
• Solid understanding of debt markets, lender expectations, and credit processes.
• Familiarity with transaction marketing and bank engagement processes.
• Experience working with financing documents and related materials.
• Strong analytical, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong execution focus and commercial awareness.
• Risk-conscious with the ability to engage constructively with new or complex ideas.
• Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders and team members.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting, or a related field required.
• Master's degree (MBA or MSc Finance), CFA, or ACA preferred.
• Financial modelling certification or equivalent practical experience preferred.
