Senior Accountant

About the Role

Our client, a leader in the Oil & Gas Trading, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be reporting to Finance Manager, and supporting a team of Accountants. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise in O&G trading, UAE regulatory compliance, and financial reporting, which will align successfully in the organization.

About the Requirements

Manage end-to-end accounting activities for oil & gas trading operations, including revenue recognition, inventory, and cost allocations

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations

Handle reconciliations, audits, VAT filings, and liaison with external auditors and regulatory authorities

Monitor trading transactions, accruals, and exposure to ensure accurate financial reporting

Support budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for O&G trading activities

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (ACCA, CA, CPA) preferred

Minimum UAE experience within Oil & Gas trading is mandatory

Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and accounting systems used in trading environments
