Head of Information Technology - Fashion & Retail

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of IT to lead technology initiatives for a leading Fashion & Retail organization in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving digital transformation, strengthening IT infrastructure, enabling business growth through technology, and delivering innovative solutions across retail operations.

The role requires a technology leader with strong experience in retail IT ecosystems, digital platforms, enterprise applications, cybersecurity, and technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the IT strategy aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and business agility.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, enterprise applications, networks, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Drive technology adoption across retail operations, stores, e-commerce, and corporate functions.
• Manage and optimize retail technology platforms including ERP, POS systems, CRM, inventory management, and omnichannel solutions.
• Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies such as automation, analytics, AI, and cloud platforms.
• Ensure robust IT governance, data security, compliance, and risk management practices.
• Lead IT projects from strategy and planning through implementation and delivery.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors, partners, and service providers.
• Build and lead a high-performing IT team while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Provide technology leadership and insights to senior management and business stakeholders.
• Required Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within Fashion, Retail, Consumer Goods, or similar industries.
• Proven experience in digital transformation and technology modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of retail technology ecosystems including POS, ERP, CRM, e-commerce, and supply chain systems.
• Experience managing large-scale IT projects and cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of cloud technologies, cybersecurity, data management, and IT governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading technology transformation in multi-location retail environments.
• Exposure to omnichannel retail strategies and customer experience platforms.
• Knowledge of UAE/GCC retail technology landscape.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
