Role Description The Fiduciary Tax and Accounting Associate is a full-time, on-site role located in Seattle, WA. This role supports fiduciary accounts by preparing and reviewing financial statements, posting and reconciling journal entries, and maintaining accurate ledgers for trusts, estates, and guardianship matters.

Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with tax preparation and filings for fiduciary entities, monitoring account activity, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.

The associate works closely with fiduciaries and other team members to analyze account information, identify variances or issues, and provide clear documentation and reports for clients, courts, and other stakeholders. The role also involves using accounting software to process transactions, generate reports, and improve workflow efficiency, while maintaining strict confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess skills in preparing and reviewing financial statements and understanding fiduciary accounting principles.
• Candidates should possess skills in recording, reconciling, and analyzing journal entries and general ledger activity.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and a solid foundation in finance to interpret account data and support decision-making.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and related productivity tools used for fiduciary and tax accounting.
• Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Additional beneficial qualifications include experience with fiduciary, trust, or estate accounting; familiarity with tax reporting for trusts and estates; and knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity, discretion, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team are essential.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally with colleagues, clients, courts, and external professionals is highly valued.
