Job Summary

The Revenue Accounting Analyst is responsible for ensuring the proper recording and reporting of revenue transactions and adjustments under the Mountain Segment. Additionally, this role will be an integral part of the month end, quarter-end and year-end close processes. Responsibilities include journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliation and fluctuation analysis.

The Revenue Accounting team oversees all deferred revenue accounts for both the Mountain and Lodging Segments, the daily ledger, product setup review, land use fee calculations and revenue recognition within various point of sale systems.

These responsibilities involve constant communication between our key stakeholders including IT, Finance, Marketing, and other groups within the accounting organization to ensure accurate revenue recognition.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze and prepare complex balance sheet reconciliations, including accounts impacted by foreign currency.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and US GAAP compliance.
• Reconcile differences between the General and Daily Ledgers and identify and record adjustments as necessary.
• Identify and research potential reporting issues and complete manual journal entries and other adjustments to fix discrepancies between multiple source systems.
• Support the Product Operations Team (PO) with seasonal product testing, identify and resolve product setup issues throughout the season.
• Assist in developing process improvements and leverage technology to enhance accuracy and efficiency
• Work with external stakeholders such as Pass Partners, USFS, and various government jurisdictions to calculate accurate and timely payments related to various revenue-sharing agreements.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Marketing, IT, and other internal teams to provide accurate revenue recognition and reporting.
• Assist in completing quarterly EUC’s and audit requests to ensure SOX compliance
• Assist in Lodge Accounting deposit application process
• Other duties and ad-hoc requests as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance2 + years accounting experience
• Strong accounting/finance knowledge, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Self-starter with a drive for excellence, ability to build strong working relationships, and a proven ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
• Experience in People
• Soft, Blackline, Alteryx, SQL reporting, RPOS and Vision is a plus The expected pay range is $61,534.00 - $87,906.
