Human Resources Business Partner - Meath/Dublin border

HR Business PartnerRole can be based in Dublin 15 or North Meath (close to Slane) | 4 days on-site, 1 day remote.

This is a multi-site role - Drivers license and own car is essential.

The role

The successful candidate will work across two operational divisions, supporting a multi-site workforce of several hundred employees spread nationwide. The role sits within an established People team and reports into a Senior People Business Partner.

About the businessOur client operates in the building materials and infrastructure supply sector, with operations across a significant number of sites nationwide. The Irish business functions as a standalone entity within a larger group, with its own leadership team and long-term growth ambitions. The workforce is predominantly operational in nature.

The role in more detailWorking across two operational divisions, the HR Business Partner will own the day-to-day HR function for their client group while also contributing to broader people strategy activity. The successful candidate will spend time with their client groups, understand their business needs, and shape their own agenda accordingly.

What you'll be doing

• Work alongside managers and business leaders across a range of operational sites to identify people needs and provide hands-on HR support
• Handle employee relations casework - disciplinaries, grievances, performance matters
• Manage the full recruitment cycle including shortlisting, interviewing, selection and onboarding
• Advise managers on employment law, HR policy and people management practice across both jurisdictions
• Support compliance obligations across both ROI and NI jurisdictions
• Contribute to people initiatives in areas including employee engagement, talent development, coaching and succession planning
• Help design, implement and review HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation and best practice
• Support organisational design and M&A-related people activity as it arises
• Collaborate with managers to strengthen employee engagement and cross-departmental working
• Get out to sites regularly - this is a role where presence matters

What we're looking for

• Essential
• At least 5 years' HR experience which includes a broad HR generalist or business partnering role.
• Experience working in a hands-on environment
• Strong working knowledge of employment law
• Experience working in a fast-paced, operationally complex environment
