Astral Operations is a key player in the agriculture industry, and is seeking a structured, process-driven and results-oriented MIS Agriculture and Systems Financial Manager to support and optimise Agriculture divisional financial systems and processes.
Reporting to the MIS Business Intelligence Manager with responsibilities to the Divisional Financial Manager: Agriculture and Systems, the successful candidate will take full ownership of the Agriculture Systems, drive process optimisation, ensure strong governance and controls, and partner with finance, business and stakeholders to enable accurate, reliable divisional reporting and decision-making.

The Opportunity
As a key member of the MIS divisional finance and systems team, you will lead the implementation and optimisation of agriculture systems, support month-end and financial processes, and ensure that financial structures and master data are aligned, controlled and fit for purpose across all divisional systems.
You will act as the primary link between Finance, Business and MIS, translating business requirements into system solutions and process improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency and governance.
Qualifications
- SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.A professional finance or systems-related qualification will be advantageous.
- Experience5+ years’ experience in a financial role within the agriculture industry or a similar operational environment.
- Experience with ERP systems, financial processes and system implementations or improvements.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of financial processes, including month-end, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
- Strong ERP and business systems knowledge.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability.

Key Responsibilities
- Systems Management & Optimisation
- Lead the implementation of new agriculture systems and manage ongoing support and optimisation.
- Take overall ownership of the Agriculture System, ensuring stability, accuracy and user adoption.
- Drive system process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives across the division.
- Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Business and MIS teams, translating agriculture business requirements into system solutions and process improvements.
- Coordinate effectively between operational, finance and technical stakeholders to align processes and priorities.
- Report to the Agriculture Management Team on concerns, risks and key updates.
- Governance, Controls & Compliance
- Ensure data integrity and strong system governance, including access, controls and documentation.
- Manage system-related controls and compliance requirements in line with internal policies and audit standards.
- Ensure financial master data and financial structures are aligned, controlled and fit for purpose across all divisional systems.
- Financial Process Management
- Oversee and support divisional office financial processes, including planning, execution and issue resolution.
- Perform and review key reconciliations between systems and financial records to ensure accurate divisional reporting.
- Oversee divisional month-end processes, including scheduling and tracking tasks, monitoring progress and resolving exceptions.
- User Support & Change Management
- Provide user support, training and change management for finance and business users.
- Provide business support through the Service Desk and champion system adoption and best practice use.
