Full-Time Entry Level Accountant (Austin, TX & Harrisburg, PA)

Huber & Associates and Related Entities are a group of companies that provide CPA services, Information Technology services (software development, support, hosting, etc.), aircraft leasing, and other diverse activities. Operating nationally and internationally, the group has been in existence for over 35 years and continues to expand its operations.

Following are tasks anticipated to be accomplished during employment. The list is not all-inclusive or listed in any specific level of importance:

• Internal and external preparation of financial statements, projections, and tax return preparation for all types of entities
• Preparation of journal entries required for accurate and timely financial statements
• Performing bank, general ledger, and other reconciliations for internal and external entities
• Maintenance and accuracy of internal and external general ledgers
• Creation of formal financial statements with reporting responsibilities to the Accounting Manager
• Assist in firm administrative functions as assigned by management
• Interface effectively with all individuals, clients, customers, and others associated with the Company
• Other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• BS or BA degree in Accounting, Business Finance, or related field
• A CPA license is a plus
• 0-3 years of applicable accounting experience
• Proficiency in spreadsheet applications and Microsoft Windows environment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, interact professionally with clients and all levels of staff, and work independently
• Willing to take the initiative to establish and ambitiously expand the presence of the firm with the backing and support of management
• Is able to recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
• A valid driver’s license
• Able to pass a background check
• Able to pass random drug tests
