As part of its continued growth and commitment to operational excellence, the institution is seeking a Facilities & Capital Planning Manager to lead capital planning, asset management, and facilities improvement initiatives across its campus.
Your New Role
As the Facilities & Capital Planning Manager, you will serve as the primary steward of capital assets, overseeing the planning, construction, maintenance, renewal, and improvement of campus buildings, infrastructure, and grounds.
Reporting to the Director, Facilities & Services, you will lead the development of long-term capital planning strategies while managing a diverse portfolio of maintenance, renewal, and capital improvement projects.
A significant component of the role involves managing the asset management system, ensuring accurate asset inventories, condition assessments, lifecycle planning, and data-driven reporting. You will analyse asset performance and deferred maintenance requirements to develop short-, medium-, and long-term capital plans that align with institutional priorities, budget objectives, sustainability goals, and campus needs.
You will be responsible for leading capital projects from inception through completion, including business case development, consultant engagement, design oversight, tendering, contract administration, budget management, risk assessment, and project execution.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and University policies.
