The Portfolio Analytics and Strategy Analyst II-FI assists the Sr. Vice President/Sr. Portfolio Manager for Fixed Income – Separately Managed Account (SMA) by performing critical functions for the Fixed Income SMA group activities associated with investment decision making, internal and external communications, and managed account marketing, trading, and operating processes.
MAJOR DUTIES
- Represent Portfolio Management’s interest as a direct point of contact with Sales, Marketing, Compliance, Product Development, Trading Operations, and Performance Attribution.
- Update, maintain, and transmit fixed income portfolio models for various multi- sector strategies
- Document rationale for the fixed income SMA trades
- Provide hedges to trading to hedge new issue purchases
- Run what if scenarios for trades in Factset for new issue hedges as well as duration, and yield curve changes
- Create presentations for monthly sales calls, client presentations, and slides for quarterly marketing presentations
- Track model portfolio characteristics, perform portfolio analytics and access the viability and impact of proposed model changes
- Generate daily, weekly and ad hoc reports, including reports to assist Portfolio Manager with analyzing potential portfolio trades and reports to sponsors for non-discretionary accounts
- Generate and explain performance attribution statistics for due diligence and sales conference calls as well as client conference calls.
- Communicate all model related information, including characteristics, performance, transaction justification, analytics, etc., to the managed account team on a regular basis, and as needed, to support account management and marketing
- Evaluate new issue corporate bonds for relative value
- Read/write/review written material related to RFPs, due diligence questionnaires, strategy and marketing
- Check all potential trades vs. the firms restricted list
- Update quarterly requests for information from program sponsors
- Update quarterly characteristics, etc., for marketing presentations
- Monitor and communicate with trading desk regarding drift reports
- Miscellaneous/Ad-Hoc Research
- Gather information on potential credits and investment opportunities
- Assist with preparation of Marketing materials as needed.
- Use various PC software packages such as Excel spreadsheets to produce high quality reports, presentations, or other documents.
- Assist in the development of further processes to enhance the efficiencies of the team.
- Receive and respond to routine correspondence from our sales force regarding our Fixed Income SMA products
- Collect, compile and analyze moderately complex data and information for inclusion in reports or presentation materials.
- Prepare special or one-time reports, summarize, or reply to inquiries, select relevant information from a variety of sources.HOURS/LOCATION:8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Overtime as required)
