You already know the drill: financial models, risk grades, credit papers, committee submissions. What you might not have is much say over what happens after you hit send — the deal moves up the chain, gets debated by people you've never met, and comes back changed.

You're a specialist inside a very large machine.I'm working with a fast-growing, specialist underwriting business — a genuine challenger to the major banks — that runs leaner and puts more of the decision in the analyst's hands.

In this role you'll

• Own the financial modelling, risk grading and credit submission end-to-end, and present your own recommendations to relationship managers and the credit committee
• Deal directly with clients and brokers rather than working purely off internal referrals
• Build expression of interest letters and term sheets you've actually shaped, not just formatted
• Get real sector exposure across construction and engineering, researching clients and competitors first-hand
• Same technical bar as a Big 4 CIB credit role — 5+ years' credit experience, strong financial modelling, sharp attention to detail — but a smaller team where your name is on the call, not just the model.
