For over 20 years, Jeff Hufford, CPA, LLC, a dynamic public accounting firm located in Austin, TX, has provided a wide range of tax, accounting and advisory services to a diverse roster of clients including small businesses and individuals. We're currently seeking a dedicated self-starter with 3+ years of recent public accounting experience to lead tax and accounting engagements.

Responsibilities

• Tax Services – Prepare and review individual and business tax returns.
• Accounting Services – Lead engagements throughout all phases of accounting including tax research, projections and analysis and review of client financial records.
• Client Services - Build client relationships and work collaboratively with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience including experience preparing individual and business tax returns
• CPA license or EA designation is a plus, but not required
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, client service, and PC skills including MS Excel, and tax software proficiency (ProSystem fx and Doc.it software proficiency are both a plus)
• Attention to detail with the ability to professionally lead engagements, effectively interact with clients and staff at all levels and juggle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to remain abreast of tax law changes and document and cross-reference work papers in a paperless environment
• Restaurant, retail and real estate industry experience are a plus
