Accounting Manager

About The Role

The role leads the day-to-day accounting operations, monthly close processes, and financial reporting framework for a fast-growing, technology-driven business. This position ensures complete accuracy in the general ledger while maintaining robust internal controls under US GAAP and SOX compliance standards.

The Accounting Manager will scale financial infrastructure, optimize reconciliation workflows, and partner with FP&A and engineering teams to automate transactional data flows. This is a critical role responsible for delivering timely financial intelligence that directly informs strategic executive decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.Manage and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses for key operational areas, including revenue recognition, ASC 606 compliance, and accrued liabilities.
• Maintain, design, and enforce internal controls under the SOX 404 framework, identifying risk areas and implementing remediations where necessary.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and quarterly reviews, preparing detailed support schedules and technical accounting memoranda.
• Optimize and automate accounting workflows within ERP systems (such as NetSuite or Sage Intacct) and integrated billing platforms to reduce manual cycle times.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate new products, billing engines, and corporate entities into the core ledger infrastructure.

What We Are Looking For

5-8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally combining public accounting (Big 4 preferred) with corporate accounting at a technology or high-growth company.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; active CPA license is highly preferred.

Deep technical mastery of US GAAP, SOX internal controls, and financial statement preparation; strong familiarity with ASC 606 and ASC 842.

Advanced proficiency with mid-to-enterprise tier ERPs (NetSuite, Workday, or Oracle) and advanced Excel functions (index/match, pivot tables, and data modeling).

Proven experience managing or mentoring direct reports and leading cross-functional process improvement projects.

Bonus: Experience with SQL, Looker, or Snowflake; experience assisting a company through a public readiness or IPO preparation phase.
