Accountant I

The Accountant I works with a team who supports various assigned entities, properties and corporate functions across the Troon enterprise with the full-cycle accounting processes. This role assists with financial reporting and gains exposure to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting activities, including posting transactions and maintaining accurate records.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and schedules under the guidance of senior accountants.
• Perform basic reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and assist in researching variances.
• Help monitor cash activity and coordinate weekly disbursements with assigned clubs as applicable.
• Collaborate with General Managers, Operations leaders and Corporate teams to provide financial support.
• Participate in training sessions and contribute to process improvement projects.
• Developing ability to present financial information in a clear and professional manner, with opportunities to support internal discussions and occasional client-facing presentations.

• Qualifications & Experience:

Required

Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and M365 Suite. Understanding of fundamental accounting principles (GAAP).

Preferred

Internship or coursework in accounting or finance. Familiarity with accounting software (training provided). Interest in pursuing CPA certification. Knowledge and

Skills

Required

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude.

Preferred

Experience with Jonas Club Management software. Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
• Certificates/Licenses:CPA Eligibility
