Compensation

Base Salary + Uncapped Commission | Estimated Year 1 Earnings $90,000–$110,000+

Key Responsibilities

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, growing existing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities include

• Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business opportunities
• Prospect for new customers through research, outreach, networking, and relationship building
• Manage inbound leads and convert opportunities into sales
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline using CRM tools
• Identify key decision-makers and develop long-term customer partnerships
• Conduct consultative sales conversations to understand customer needs
• Prepare proposals, quotes, and product recommendations
• Manage the sales process from initial contact through order fulfillment
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers
• Re-engage inactive accounts and identify opportunities for growth
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience
• Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity tracking

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a results-oriented sales professional with a strong ability to develop relationships and close opportunities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, technical sales, manufacturing sales, or a related field
• Proven success achieving sales targets and business development goals
• Strong prospecting and cold-calling experience
• Experience managing the full sales cycle
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Strong relationship-building abilities with customers and decision-makers
• Ability to understand technical products and provide customer-focused solutions
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

Assets

The following would be considered an advantage

• College diploma or university degree in business, sales, marketing, engineering, or a related discipline
• Experience selling manufactured products or technical solutions
• Knowledge of shipping processes, international trade documentation, or export sales
• Advanced Excel skills
• Additional language skills

Work Location

This is a 100% in-office position located in the Waterloo, Ontario area. The successful candidate will manage a territory focused on North America, with potential opportunities to support international growth.
