Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Minimum 2 days onsite)

Future Requirement: Must be comfortable returning to the office full-time (5 days onsite) if business needs change

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Compensation

$70 - 72/hr

Role Summary

We are seeking an experiencedProject/Program Manager IT 5 to lead large-scale software and digital platform initiatives.

This individual will partner closely with product owners, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to drive successful project delivery from concept through implementation.

This is a highly visible leadership role requiring strong communication, stakeholder management, organizational alignment, and program governance skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading enterprise software projects within Agile environments, managing cross-functional teams, and driving complex initiatives across global organizations.

The role requires an individual who can influence stakeholders, establish project direction, align teams around shared objectives, and successfully deliver strategic technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple enterprise software and digital transformation initiatives simultaneously
• Manage projects from charter creation through implementation and deployment
• Develop project plans, schedules, governance structures, and communication strategies
• Drive stakeholder alignment across product, engineering, and business organizations
• Manage project budgets, timelines, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution
• Facilitate collaboration across global teams located in the United States, India, and Slovakia
• Utilize Azure DevOps and Confluence to track project progress, reporting, and documentation
• Support organizational change management and strategic business initiatives
• Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, status updates, and project metrics
• Lead discussions around project scope, priorities, resource planning, and execution strategy
• Work closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, and Business Stakeholders
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience
• 8+ years of project or program management experience leading projects from initiation through implementation
• Experience managing software development projects within Agile environments
• Experience leading cross-functional matrix organizations
• Strong project charter creation, project planning, and governance experience
• 2+ years of Azure DevOps experience
• 2+ years of Confluence experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project skills
• Experience with organizational change management initiatives
• Strong stakeholder management and team leadership experience
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred Experience

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
• Change Management Certification
• Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
• Power BI experience
• Experience supporting Ecommerce applications or digital platforms
• Experience within large enterprise organizations
• Additional Scrum Master experience alongside traditional project management responsibilities
• Experience utilizing AI tools to improve reporting, planning, or project execution

Travel & Work Environment

• Up to 25% travel as needed
• Occasional travel between Chicago and Peoria offices
• Work within a collaborative, Agile software development environment
• High-visibility role interacting with leadership, product teams, and engineering organizations
