Release Train Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Release Train Engineer for a leading financial services client. This individual will play a critical role in driving the success of a large-scale Agile Release Train, ensuring consistent and predictable delivery of technology initiatives. The RTE will lead PI Planning, coordinate across multiple Agile teams, and drive alignment between business and technical stakeholders.

This role requires a strong, assertive communicator who can influence across teams, remove blockers quickly, and foster a high-performing Agile environment. The ideal candidate is highly organized, metrics-driven, and passionate about scaling Agile best practices across complex enterprise ecosystems.

Day-to-Day:

• Lead and facilitate PI Planning events end-to-end
• Coordinate ~18 Agile teams within the Release Train
• Manage dependencies and cross-team collaboration
• Track and report on: PI Objectives completion
• Business value delivery
• Velocity and cycle time
• Risk & dependency status
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies: Scrum of Scrums
• PO Syncs
• Inspect & Adapt sessions
• Ensure Program Kanban readiness and backlog quality (DoR/DoD)
• Drive continuous improvement and Agile maturity
• Remove impediments and protect teams from disruptions
• Partner with business and technology leadership for alignment
• Maintain PI calendars and planning cadence
• Ensure all work and deliverables are visible and properly tracked in Jira
