Senior DevOps Engineer - Kubernetes & Azure Cloud

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, focusing on speed, reliability, and scalability
• Manage and optimize production-grade Kubernetes clusters, including Helm chart development and Istio service mesh configuration
• Develop Python-based automation scripts and tooling to streamline infrastructure provisioning and deployment workflows
• Architect and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, including AKS, networking, IAM/RBAC, and storage solutions
• Troubleshoot complex pod orchestration, networking, and pipeline issues to minimize downtime and ensure system stability
• Implement monitoring and observability practices to proactively identify performance bottlenecks and infrastructure risks

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and building infrastructure tooling
• Expert-level knowledge of Kubernetes, including cluster management, Helm charts, and service mesh technologies like Istio
• Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with a strong focus on reliability
• Deep expertise in GitLab CI/CD, including multi-stage pipelines, templates, and pipeline-as-code practices
• Solid experience of Azure cloud services such as AKS, Azure DevOps, Virtual Networks, and Key Vault
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana), and shell scripting is a plus

This posting includes a good faith range of the salary EPAM would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. The range provided reflects base salary only. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to: geographic location, experience, credentials, education, training; the demand for the role; and overall business and labor market considerations.

Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: $135,000 - $145,000. In addition, the details highlighted in this job posting above are a general description of all other expected benefits and compensation for the position.
