Role Description This part-time QuickBooks Accountant role is a hybrid position based in Pittsburgh, PA, with some work-from-home flexibility. The individual in this role will manage day-to-day accounting tasks in QuickBooks, including recording transactions, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, and maintaining accurate general ledger entries.

Responsibilities include processing accounts payable and receivable, preparing and sending invoices, tracking payments, and supporting job cost tracking for construction projects. The QuickBooks Accountant will assist with payroll entries, basic financial reporting, and preparation of documents for tax and compliance purposes.

This role also involves working with project managers and company leadership to provide clear financial information, address discrepancies, and help improve accounting workflows.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) and basic accounting principles.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Ability to prepare and review invoices, track job costs, and support budget monitoring.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with project and office teams.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment, managing time independently, and handling confidential financial information responsibly.
• Prior experience in construction or real estate accounting is preferred but not required.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
